Learn to Skate with Harmony House Skating School

Join us to develop strong skating skills that will improve performance for recreational skating, figure skating or hockey. Technically correct skating skills and edge control are important and necessary for both hockey players and figure skaters. Let us help you get started and ready to participate in ice skating no matter what your goals are.

  •     40 Minute instructor supervised class time at all levels
  •     Skaters move through the program at their own pace-no waiting until test day
  •     Develop strong skating skills and proper technique

Skaters will learn proper technique during this time with their instructor leading the way. Skaters will move through the class levels at their own pace, earning their testing badges as they are ready and will not have to wait for a new session to begin if they are ready to move up and develop new skills.

We offer:

Snow Plow Sam 1-4: 3 to 6 years of age

Designed for kids under six to build confidence while learning to skate incorporating fun and games making class time an enjoyable experience for all.
Equipment needed:  Skates (rental skates are available), Warm comfortable clothing, warm jacket, warm gloves or mittens and a helmet.

Basic Skills 1-6, PreFreeskate: 6 years of age and up

These lessons put the FUN in fundamentals as your skaters enjoy learning the basics of ice skating.
Equipment needed:  Skates (rental skates are available), Warm comfortable clothing, warm jacket, warm gloves or mittens.

Hockey Skating Skills: Open to skaters who have passed Snow Plow Sam 1-4 or Basic 1 and 2

Before you can score a goal, you need to learn to skate. In the hockey program, skaters will learn how to be proficient and agile on the ice.
Equipment needed:  Skates (rental skates are available), warm comfortable clothing, warm jacket, warm gloves or mittens or hockey gloves, hockey helmet.
Skaters in this class are focusing on becoming better hockey skaters and will focus on skating skills.  Full equipment is not needed. No sticks or pucks.

Adult Classes:

Ice skating is for the kid in all of us. The adult curriculum is designed for beginning and experienced skaters who wish to improve their skills.
Equipment needed:  Skates (rental skates are available), warm comfortable clothing, warm jacket, warm gloves or mittens.
